PHAS is a comprehensive and fully integrated information management and reporting system designed by Modern Software Technology, Inc. (MST) exclusively for Public Housing Authorities. MST has provided custom programming, software training, system support, and consulting for 20 years. MST began developing software for public housing authorities 18 years ago, and now has over 50 PHA's across the country, for which we provide support, consulting, and product enhancements. PHAS is an on-line, multi-user, multi-tasking system allowing immediate access to records via a network station with the ability to perform diverse functions simultaneously. Because PHAS is fully integrated, several accounting tasks for example, can be accomplished with one entry. The system's modular design allows you to install and use only the modules needed now, and add others later.

MST is committed to providing the best software system for public housing authorities. We work closely with our current users to meet and maintain this commitment. Enhancements and modifications result directly from suggestions made by our users via our WEB page (www.PHASnet.com) or our software on-line request form. Many more improvements result from our annual Users Group meetings held in a creative, fostering atmosphere. All these suggestions and requests are sent quarterly to all users as part of the MST Support Agreement

PHAS was designed specifically to operate on the IBM Network family of computers. The advantages of these systems include the ability to upgrade your computer without costly software and data conversions, no additional training costs and local hardware support from IBM. The biggest advantage of the AS/400 Network Server is that it can effectively use existing PC's, workstations and printers without the costly expense of replacement. These systems also support Office Automation Applications.

Additionally, information can be shared with personal computers for use with popular word processing, spread sheet and data base programs. The IBM Query program can be used for on time or on demand reports. The AS/400 Network Server is also a database computer which will allow DB2, CASE, SQL and 4GL software packages to be used.
